President California Society of Plastic Surgeons

California Society of Plastic Surgeons is an organization of practicing, board-certified plastic surgeons committed to the highest ethical standards. Our mission is to advance the profession of plastic surgery through continuing educational activities, advise the public, and act as patient advocates, protecting the welfare of the people of California with respect to cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.

All California Society of Plastic Surgeon members are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and must adhere to strict guidelines, ethics and continuing education requirements.

The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons (LASPS) is a professional organization that provides continuing medical education to its membership through creative, ethical and effective instructional programs. The focus of these programs includes patient management, operating techniques, clinical practice guidelines and safety considerations.

President Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons

The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons (LASPS) is a professional organization that provides continuing medical education to its membership through creative, ethical and effective instructional programs. The focus of these programs includes patient management, operating techniques, clinical practice guidelines and safety considerations.

Dr. Geoffrey R. Keyes has been President since 2007 and his previous position included Treasurer from 2002-2007.

President Elect Aesthetic Society Education and Research Foundation

The purpose of the Foundation is to identify and pursue those issues relevant to the advancement, effectiveness and safety of aesthetic surgery through directed research and education for the purpose of benefiting patients, physicians and this entire field of medicine.

The Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF), is the research arm of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and has been quietly funding research projects for more than 15 years.

Secretary Treasurer American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities

It is the mission of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF) to develop and implement standards of excellence to ensure the highest quality of patient care through an accreditation program that serves both the medical community and the public interest by establishing a means for measuring medical competence and providing an external source for evaluating patient safety in the ambulatory surgery setting.

Today more than 1000 ambulatory surgery facilities are accredited by AAAASF, the largest not-for-profit accrediting organization in the United States.

Dr. Geoffrey R. Keyes has been on the Executive Committee board since 1999.
